This project is part of the development of the ExEx models. The collaboration aims to improve the modeling of the Aragón hydrological basin in order to capture the specific characteristics of the IP–Canfranc topology.
Layman's summary: The EXLA model enables the medium-term planning of all Endesa’s hydropower resources. Its output is the optimal reservoir management over the coming months, as well as the optimal policy for water releases and generation across all units (hydropower units in both reservoir-based and run-of-river plants), including the management of pumped-storage units. This project focuses on modeling the specific characteristics of the IP–Canfranc topology, including a non-reversible pumping station.
